Book Review: Beneath the Copper Falls by Colleen Coble

Colleen Coble is a new author for me, so after studying the book cover I opted to select it as a book to read. The premise of the story captivated me and begged to be read.

Dana Newell has returned back home to escape an abusive fiancé, and finds her life more upside down than she ever imagined. People are being killed and she fears that her past is what is causing them harm. She finds strength in Boone, a man who has scars himself, and a friendship develops. Together they are able to solve the mystery of what happened to his sister and prevent any further deaths.

The book most definitely had quite a big drama and plenty of angst. Just when you thought you knew who the culprit was, things would change and it made you begin to wonder.

The only thing I didn’t like is the amount of people who fell victim to the bad person, and how the ending of the book happened. To me, the last part of the book just seemed a tad rushed and just a way to eliminate one of the characters. Thought it could have been thought out and perhaps executed differently.

I received this book from the publisher via BookLook Bloggers. All opinions are my own.
